The reason that people want to change their name is from the believe of people.
They believe that good luck will come to their life.
They believe that their life will be better.
They believe that they will success in everythings; work, love, family.
They believe that they will don't have any bad disease and be healthy.

I think this is a bad side of changing name because it will make it is hard to find the thief.
