Should cell phones be permitted in school?

I believe cell phones should be permitted in school because students could
use them for educational purposes, to ward off boredom during free periods,
and for safety.

I think we shold specify an area and allow

In 21st century, it is fine to bring cellphone in school.
Actually, teachers must design lesson plan based on students' interest and ways of learning.
So in this case, teacher has to plan an activity that requires students to use cellphone to look for knowledge or finish task.

Yes, I agree. Cellphone is personal stuff, we use it to
contact with people. If you lack cellphone,it may be
tough to contact with others. Teachers may ask them to
put their cellphone on teachers' desks and let them turn cellphones
to silent mode. After finishing classes, turn their cellphones back.
