How did you feel when you fell in love a guy at the high school?

I used to be in this case but I could pass it with the crazy way.
I had to think of him all the time since I loved him without any reason
I had to be sad when he went with another one
I had to be hopeless when he failed something
I had to be shy when I faced him
It's very hard to keep avoid loving a guy.

I did not fall in love when I was at high school, but I did after finishing the school.
I fell in love with a boy who's in the same class with me.
Actually we're friends; we're not very close but we can talk to each other all the time.
He's a good friend for me. He's so nice and gentle. And he's tall as I like.
We seldom talked on the phone when he called me for asking about what homework we had.
I didn't love anyone during that time. But after finishing the school and continuing to study at university,
my close friend told me he loves me. I was surprised about that and didn't believe.
After that, I started thinking of him and became falling in love. Haha
However, I don't know he really loves me as my close friend told or not because he doesn't tell me directly.
Or if he loves me, I think now he changes his mind because there'er four years passed.

The thing that I feel is "it's impossible" because I studied at girls' school
so there were not so many guys.
When I was high school there were about 2-6 guys in each classroom
while having about 30-40 girls.
That mean if I fell in love with someone (for sure that he must be popular!)
