Are exams necessary to students?

In my opinion, the examination is very important for students.
Because without taking an exam students might not know about their
abilities in the lesson they had learnt. So students should do the
exam and they will know what thing they have to prove or take care of.

Nowadays education proves me that it is not about learning anymore but it is about passing. The truth is examination is necessary for student to give them chances to go on in the future. Examination is used to test their half of abilities. Why is that? For me, the results of the exam come from luck and ability. I am not insulting other's intelligence, but I say as I am one of the students who was tested and can enter the University.

I think it is quite important but I feel very stressed every time when I do the exam.
I do not like examination, but I cannot escape it.
Examination is the thing that can express what we have learnt or what we have studied.
It is important, but it is not necessary.

In my point of view, an exam is necessary to students because it is one of the ways to check how they get or understand from the lesson. On the other hand, do exam can make students feel stress about the examination. However, most of Thai students don't concentrate on do exam therefore they are failure from the official examination. It's exactly necessary because it's the way teacher can know how much students have learned.
Before studying, teacher let the students do the exams to know their basic knowledge.
For some students who gets low points, teacher can teach them properly to help them study well.
After the students have learned this lesson, evaluate them again from final exam.
This way doesn't show only the students' scores but also how good teacher teaches.
If the students understand the lesson and do good at the exams, it shows the teacher teaches well.
And the way teacher teaches is suitable for the students.
If the students cannot do the exams, teacher has to consider there's a problem in teaching.

Umm maybe it is. It depends on what courses they take. For some courses like cooking or P.E., I think training and practicing without taking exams could happen. If the course like grammar, taking exam is necessary. Nowadays many of Thai people cheat on the exams. That is a sad news ever. Cheating won't help students know how good they are on the subject they study.
