Do Violent Video Games Contribute to Youth Violence?

Violent video games have been blamed for school shootings, increases in bullying, and violence towards women. Critics argue that these games desensitize players to violence, reward players for simulating violence, and teach children that violence is an acceptable way to resolve conflicts.

Video game advocates contend that a majority of the research on the topic is deeply flawed and that no causal relationship has been found between video games and social violence. They argue that violent video games may reduce violence by serving as a substitute for rough and tumble play and by providing a safe outlet for aggressive and angry feelings.

I think yes, in some ways. But there are violence in every media not only video games. So why blame video games? I think people are not well informed about video games. They don't know what it is. They just saw children playing it all day long and assume that they are bad.
Anyway Too much of anything can't be good either.

Violent video games contribute to youth violence. I believe It encourages young people to act violently. Children are immature and they cannot always tell the difference between real life and the fantasy world they see in video games. For example GTA has many details such as stealing cars, robbing stores, killing other, selling drug, raping. By seeing these acts in the games all the time children play, they will imitate after the games because they misunderstand that acting like that is good.

I think it's just sometime.
I was reading about some article and it says that some reseach found the video game contribute youth violence and crime.
But for some researchs they found that the video game is just the a short term relationship of the screens and the players. So I counldn't harm or make crime.

Children learn things very fast. When they watch something, they can remember it very well.
According to my experience, my nephew likes to watch cartoon about fighting.
After that, he thinks about fighting and likes to fight. He speaks like the characters in the story.
As well as violent games, it effects to children. After they watch it, they will do like it.
Children will do actions like the game and it's dangerous because they can hurt other people.
So we should be careful about allowing them to play game; don't let children play violent game.
