How is social media changing family relationships?

Advantage of social media changing family relationships to be better.
For example, Dalaa has a family in Thailand, Sisaket province. She
study in America. Her brother studies at Walailuk University, the south of Thailand.
Her mother and father work in Sisaket provine. They connect each other by using
social media such as Video calling, Video conference, face time, line and facebook.
So it can make the world to close. When they miss each other so they can see or
meet each other in many applications.

Disadvantage of social media is social network make the world bigger.
For example ; If social media enables me to connect me with many people,
from all walks of my life while a family time. In the fact, We have to talk to each other
in my family. But if I interested in only my cell phone. I didn't talk with my mom
or my dad. What happened? The world is so far for close relationship because phubbing.

I think social media changes the relationship of family in the good side.
It's very convenient to contact parents through the technology of social media.
I usually use Line application for calling to parents than use phone.
Sometimes, video call is very important when you want to see parent's face.
So, I think social media is the good thing that change our life in the better way.

Dad is policeman. He must has LINE for contract his colleague. He has iP and Sumsung.
I has iP to contract friend for homework. When we back home. Dad and I play smartphone.
Mom will mutter us. Today, everything has change. First person who play smartphone is mom.

Family is always be the best thing and anything could break it down.
But in case of time to spent together might be decreased by social media.

Since my mom got an Iphone, we talk to each other more often. Before she called my every night but now when technology has come, we talk more often.

Social media is one way of communication. I can contact with my mother easier. We chat with each other everyday. So, I think social media can help us feel closer.
