Why do most students in a big city have high academic performance than students in a rural school?

I think because that the main reason is most students in the big city have higher intention to study.
It might be that the academic competition in urban school is higher than in rural school.
Especially the competition is very serious in the big city like Bangkok.
So most students in the big city are likely to pay attention to what the teachers are teaching intentionally while the students in the rural schools are likely to play during the class and some of them often skip the class to play with their friends.

Many students in the city use tablet in their learning to develop English skills or other.
However, the students in rural areas lack of technology, it is about technology requirement
to support many ares in Thailand.
