| In my opinion.... The different things in the general way are food, weather, custom, dressing and people but there are moreover the things below. In my opinion, the difference between Thai classrooms and American classrooms is the opportunity to do many things in classes and to use the equipment for studying. Almost all of American students can do more things in class Thai most of Thai students. In American classes, the students can eat, drink, or make jokes, but Thai students cannot do all of those in their classes because the students in the United States are more independent than Thai students. In Thai society, eating, drinking, and making jokes are the inappropriate and impolite in the classrooms because they show that students are not respecting their teachers. Amolwan 050 4EN | |

| Most American teachers try to make the students more active in learning, but most Thai teachers teach lessons by following the books. For example, American classes usually have many activities such as working in groups and studying outdoors. Most Thai classes study in classrooms and rarely have extra activities like the American classes.

| It is totally different both two countries. Thailand has passive learning that input ans always give knowledge to students. It is true that we focus on Child centered but for practice we still do the same. Thai students have to study very hard. They learn everything from teacher waiting for knowledge to fill the gap in their brain. For America, we can obviously see that students learn from themselves. Everything around them is education. Teachers teach from easy things to hard and practice in class very often.

| I have never studied abroad. America was one of my dream destination when I was young. Many of my friends in high school went to the US to spend a year in the English native speakers. They had a very good opportunity to exchange culture in another countries. When they got back, their English was excellent. They had high self-confidence. I really liked their English accent. Since I have learned with many American teacher, I have learned that they like to teach us to practice. Practice makes perfect. When I was in high school, I practiced English skills every day. I like the American style learning. My friends have told me that Americans study only 6-7 hours a day. The school ends at 2 or 3 pm. After school students spend time with friends or family which is opposite to the education in Thailand. I want to study like the Americans.

| I think there are many aspects of the difference between studying in Thailand and United States of America. Of course both country focus on educate their people. The difference is their styles of teaching and their beliefs. Most Thai educators are teaching students to memorize things while US focus on their students learning. Thai teaching style is to get the correct answer right away while US is about trying and making mistake to get the answer. Also, there're some culture for example arguing, respecting etc. Thai teachers view arguing as aggressive, offensive and disrespectful while US teachers view it as sharing ideas and discussion. That's all I can think of now.
