Why Thai students cannot read English well?

Thai learners' problem is that English is just another in a long line of subjects that the students must endure and score points in so that they can enter university. Very few students have any intention of using acquired English skills in their later lives and even fewer have any idea at all about what profession they will choose in the future. Most will live in Thailand, work with Thai colleagues and never use English skills, so what's the attraction of English for them?

It might be that most of Thai students cannot access to learn effective English class.
Students have to learn English to do the exercise translate words and remember grammar.
It is worse than that because students are rarely taken care of how their English performance is.
They learn English class only 2-3 hours per week. How can they achieve the task or the test?
Only students in a famous school where providing great English teachers have great English performance, but students in local school in a small city have less chances to be trained and practiced.

Most Thai students cannot read English well as the second language only but they cannot read Thai as the first language too. There is a educator said that students can read other language well if they can read thier first language well too. It is quite hard to let students read English well. Therefore, we should let students read Thai well before to let them read English.

In particular, Thai student cannot read English and Thai education is still
weak in managing English course so Thai student cannot read English.

In my view, I think that Thai students cannot read well
because they don' t like to read. It is also Thai language that
Thai students and Thai People don't love to read.
They know reading is good but it is hard to do it.

Because there are nothing to read and no reason to read it.
Students would think why bother? They don't need use English in any occasion which, most of the time, they are right. I think we should raise the awareness of how important English is, not just for AEC.

Reading is a skill which needs a lot of experiences.
We need to spend the time on it, and practice as much as possible.

Not only English, I think some Thai student can't even read Thai well.
I think it's because they don't like reading even Thai book.
As we've heard all my life that Thai people read only 7 lines a year, I think we should start sloving from this problem. To just make them love reading no matter Thai or English, it will be better in the future.

The important factor is lack of knowing vocabulary.
Thai students can't remember the English vocabulary so, they can't read the text.
So, the good way to solve the problem give some techniques to students.
For example, mnemonics techniques; it is useful for remembering vocabulary in the new way.

I can confidently say that Thai Student Never go READ the English Text
So They cannot read english very well.
As We have been studying English for years we have not read it well,
They much less read it what happen is nothing.
