Did you enjoy reading “The Black Cat” by Poe?

Actually, I’m not much like this kind of fiction. It is violence, bloodshed, madness and difficult to understand. But because of Poe use the narrative strategy in the story, it’s made the story interesting – I feel wonder to know what will happen the next and I think people who love this kind of story will have the same feelings as me. Warning! For children, I think it isn't OK to let children read or watch the horror entertainment alone. They may think that what they have watch or read are just the simply things – it’s OK to do; parents should read, discuss and answer them carefully.

Firstly, I didn't like to read it because it's full of difficult words to read.
But later, I knew the writer's intention; I knew what his purpose was, so I like it.
I found some meaning in this story which can teach people nowadays.
The first meaning is Alcohol addiction destroys people's life.
As seen from the whole story, the narrator drinks alcohol and he loses everything in his life.
Everything can be changed, as seen from the narrator who loves animal become the one who kill them.
What goes around, comes around, or Karma, as seen that he kills animals and his wife, and finally he is caught.

I'd say I confused a little bit at the end of the story. But mostly I understood the story. So I youtubed the black cat and watched the video. It helped me got more visual. The whole story was fun, excited, and horror. I really enjoy reading it.
