How to get beter in reading?

This is the most weakest skill for me in learning English.
I like to say that I hate reading because I get an eye-ache when i scan my eyes on the thousands of letters.
I just try to read when I have the exam.
My trick is reviewing many times to remember.
I sometimes repeat and repeat to remeber the short words or sentences.
I'm really poor for reading.

Reading English books for me, the main problem is vocabulary meanings.
I often use the dictionary, and it makes to read is not continuously well.
So guessing word meaning through the text, content, or connecting words can be helpful.
